Leaders will Lead
Our Father Allah taught his Suns to be leaders. Some may believe that leaders bark out orders or delegate less appealing tasks to followers. Some even assume that leaders are over bearing,, loud and overly harsh. While these stereotypes are often made popular in pop culture and various media outlets, true leaders are the "good guys" in our society. Leaders are those with the power to influence the behaviors of others. Leaders are those who inspire and bring out the best in people. A leader is one that can help make people better and allow others to become leaders as well. Allah taught us that if we are all leaders, if one of us is taken out then the motions of our nation will not cease. There are leaders everywhere amongst us; however it is up to us to be able to recognize them. You do not have to be in management or in a supervisory role in order to be a leader. One does not have to have a title or particular level of academic education in order to have leadership qualities. We all have the potential to create positive conversations and environments that will allow those who come in contact with us to thrive. They way that we communicate and share information can allow us to be leaders to those seeking the light that we have to offer. Our actions and exemplary behavior may be all it takes to set an individual on a path toward finding their own place as a leader. In some cases traumatic events or extremes situations may uncover strong leadership capabilities that may have otherwise gone unnoticed or unseen. Some of us aspire to have a chance to lead while others have the role thrust upon them. No matter the case true leaders always rise to the occasion. Having the knowledge of myself and knowing others with the mind of Allah had shown me that there is a leader within all of us. I have seen true leaders make split second, life saving decisions as well as draw up strategic strategies and organized moves in a days notice. I am proud to have that I have been lead by and lead among some of our nations greatest leaders. I hope that this writing will cause you to take a look at self and allow the leader within to shine. Whether it be in the classroom, on the job or even on the court, allow yourself and others to be great and appreciate the greatness of leadership.
Thank you once again for you time. I look forward to any questions, suggestions, or feedback. Until next time, I leave you as I came in the universal greeting of P.E.A.C.E.
